I have 25 years of experience with FOH sound engineering.
Modern technology has created a platform for FOH engineering that takes advantage of all kinds of plugins and sound tools making it easy to focus specifically on what’s important: MUSIC - Listening to the sound and create the right soundscape.
Musicals and theatre pieces need a different approach than live music. Being able to build a dynamic process with development, not only for a song, but for a whole play is what I really like. Immersive sound is key to make a design come to life.
A broad knowledge of music and harmonies makes it easier to do the right choices when it comes to mixing music. During the last 25 years I have had the opportunity to work as a mixing engineer in not only the live industry, but also as a studio engineer mixing records or tracks, producing music, mixing film score and broadcast audio.
Taking the right decisions when it comes to a live audio experience takes knowledge of the technical side of an event, but also leadership and communication skills. Being head of several audio production teams and with a past as production manager in the rental business in Denmark, this is where I can make a difference.
As a touring sound engineer I have experienced a lot of the decisions made in venues across the world. As an audio consultant I try to use this experience to make people take the best decisions regarding their new investments.
